For the past year, Kristen came and spent time with my mom at her nursing home 2-3 times a week -- Mom had suffered from Parkinson's disease and dementia for many years, and was very frail physically and mentally. We hired Kristen to come and hang out with my mom during the week -- reading to her, doing art projects, sometimes just sitting quietly on the patio in good weather. Kristen was amazing. She was kind, competent, mature, and totally unfazed by my mom's physical limitations; often came up with creative activities to do together; took initiative to find the things Mom would most enjoy; and was incredibly responsible and communicative with us. She even came over once on short notice during an emergency when we were out of town, and waited with my mom until family could get there. Kristen was a bright spot in my mom's life, in what turned out to be Mom's final year. We are so grateful to Kristen and recommend her highly.
