I am currently looking to fill my Wednesday & Friday daytimes as well as any day after 5 p.m. I am a retired nanny turned Postpartum Doula & Newborn Care Specialist. I have extensive childcare experience with children of all ages ranging from newborn to 14 years old. 30+ families during this time doing everything from occasional babysitting to full-time nannying including kiddos schedule management. I am experienced with food allergies and the use of an Epipen. I love to include children in food preparation when it's age appropriate. I encourage children's exploration and thinking for themselves to promote confidence and independence. I prefer to work with parents on rules, techniques and any issues that may arise. I feel that communication and being on the same page is very important to keep consistency and a proper schedule for children. Creating a safe environment physically and emotionally is my number one priority! I look forward to meeting you and your family!

I worked as a house manager to a private, affluent family in the Bay Area. They required everyone who worked for them to sign NDA agreements and ran super detailed background checks on all potential employees. When I interviewed Kristan to work for this family as their part time nanny, I knew from the start that she was going to be a perfect fit! The family had 4 kids and she handled herself with ease when with all of them. She could juggle a busy schedule, make sure the kids were always on time to their after school activities, all while nurturing them and being a dependable force in their lives. The children's age ranged from 14yrs to 6mos and they all related to her! She could always talk with the teenager about the newest music or TV shows while building a Lego set with the 6yr old boy. The baby instantly took to her and loved when she would roll around on the floor with him. Kristan would be a wonderful asset to any family! Dependable, loyal AND reliable.
