-I grew up with a sister who has autism. She started my love for special needs. I started babysitting when I was 13 for a family with 3 children, two of them were diagnosed with autism. I worked with that family for 13 years. -I lived with a young man who has Down Syndrome for 3 years. -I have provided respite care for children and adults with both Autism and Down Syndrome, SMA Muscular Dystrophy, Asperger, developmental delays and physical disabilities. -I have also provided care for a girl who was on a ventilator.
