About Kira

I am a certified English teacher. I am a graduate from Harriton HS, have a Bachelors in English from the Pitt, and a Masters in Education from the Penn GSE. I adore working with students 1:1 to enhance reading and writing skills and help students immerse themselves in the love, passion, and excitement literature/writing can bring! I am looking for tutoring jobs over the summer to help prepare middle/high school students for their English classes for next school year. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, friendly/outgoing, and professional. I like tutoring because it creates a safe environment for students to engage with English is my favorite part of teaching! It fosters deep connections between students, their writing, and the texts they interact with. In free time, I like to read/write. I'm also an artist and like to get creative and messy with fun new projects. Lastly, I'm an athlete and love to get my body moving, be outside in the fresh air, and have fun on a team!
