I have one year recent experience as a special needs caregiver. I worked for one family for just about 2 weeks shy of a year. He was 92 and non ambulatory and his wife was 90 and pretty mobile. Unfortunately, my time there had to come to an end when the man was put into a home. I have experience working with G tubes and transferring in and out of bed, wheelchair, potty, and in and out of car. I have lots of patience, a great sense of humor, I am very responsible and reliable. I administer medications on time. I am pretty organized and can handle taking care of your loved one in a loving and responsible mannerism. I am willing to work 24 and 48 hour shifts if needed but would prefer just 8 to 12 hour shifts. At my other job, I was working two, 48 hour shifts each week and at times, I would stay 5 days out of the week there if one of the other caregivers didn't show up. Before this, I took care of my father at home until he lost his battle with cancer. I have a lot of compassion. I am a quick learner as well.
