About Kimberly

I'd describe my personality as energetic, positive, and outgoing. I like tutoring because I love to see a child's confidence grow when they realize they actually can learn a concept. I believe children can learn anything. I started tutoring when my daughter (now 21) needed help learning math. Since then, I have informally tutored children in math and other subjects. I take education very seriously. Even if subject matter is considered "useless" information, a good teacher is really teaching children to think and develop skills that reach far beyond the actual subject matter. My skills are primarily in the subject of math. However, I can and have tutored children in other subjects. I seem to have the ability to translate a tough concept into a more easily understood version that resonates with children.
