I cared for and loved a kid very much! He is diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome along with Epilepsy and other severe neurological issues. I love working with children of all types, and special needs children are very special to me. He was the first special needs child I worked with and I loved getting to know him, slowly drawing him out of his shell and seeing him grow and mature into giving hugs and lots of eye contact. I was responsible for giving him many medications at varying times of the day and evening.

Kim supported our family with after school care for our two daughters (aged 5 & 6) during the 2013/2014 school year. Her responsibilities included picking the girls up from school, snacks, homework, light housekeeping, lunch preparation and transportation to local activities and play dates. We found her to be attentive to the children - who loved playing with her and still talk about her. She told great stories and was not afraid to get down on the ground and engage at their level. The girls were always safe and happy and life was under control when we got home. She is a mother herself with a good sense of how kids "work" making her very empathetic.
