I have been working with children for 12 years. For 6 years I worked at a therapeutic riding center with children 4-17 years old with disabilities. I assisted with training lessons and was responsible for the safety and well-being of the children. Additionally, I volunteered at the National Children's Hospital for 1. 5 years. At the hospital I helped to mentally prepare children 8 mo - 15 years old for procedures. Also, I work in a child development lab with children with autism. In the lab I run tasks/games with the children for the studies. Additionally, I worked a year with an 11-year-old child with special needs. I would go to school with him to assist with his social, educational, and medical issues. For the past 4 years I've been in education. I've taught preschool and upper elementary at a Montessori school. I currently am a 1:1 ABA therapist for Spheppard Pratt at the Forbush School at Oakmont Upper working with children with Autism.
