I babysat/nannied a couple of twin boys for about 6 years! One boy had major problems with sight. The other was hypoglycemic and had quite a bit of asthma. I would do eye exercises with the first boy, as well as hooking up breathing machines to the other for his breathing problems. I prepared all meals for them, helped with bath time, getting dressed and putting them to sleep. I also have a 15-year-old cousin that I absolutely adore. He is autistic. We have bonded quite well over the years, so I have an at least decent understanding of how to cope with his triggers and to help him relax in stressful situations. Growing up, I had a best friend with diabetes. I learned very quickly how to check her blood sugar and how much penicillin she needed due to the test results. I love learning new things about different disabilities, and would love to be trained to care for all needs! I absolutely love children!
