My first experience with working in childcare was from 2007 to 2010 at a family daycare. I acted as the owner' s assistant in caring for the 5-8 children ages 6 months to 8 years. Additionally, since I was 12 years old I have provided childcare for individual families. In the summer of 2013, I worked as a full time nanny for two children ages 8 years old and 10 years old. In the summer of 2015, I again worked as a full time nanny for a 2-year-old child. These nannying experiences have been some of the most rewarding in my life. I have 2 nephews (8 and 2 years old) and a niece (7 years old) that are my whole world. I'm very lucky to live very close to them and to get to spend so much time with them. It's hard to count this as babysitting experience but, dang if it isn't the most real and valuable childcare experience I've had to date.
