About Kayla

I graduated in 2010 from Southern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, birth-3rd grade. Throughout my courses, I worked with children, birth-preschool at our campus Child Development Laboratory. I completed my practicum teaching in a third grade and kindergarten classroom. I completed my student teaching in a pre-k and first grade classroom. From February 2011- May 2013, I assumed the position as a Preschool for All teacher and Parent Coordinator at a childcare center. I then moved to Tennessee where I received my teaching certificate for early childhood education as well. I since have been a nanny for four amazing families. I now am blessed with my own child who just recently turned one. I am grateful to be a stay at home mom. I love teaching him daily and watching him learn. I am looking to help a family with pick up and after school care in my home. I am also open to part time care (1 or two days a week) in my home.
