When working as an assistant I would help watch a young girl with down syndrome, as well as a young toddler with down syndrome while their mother would come into our salon/ or would have to work a couple time. My experience is not extensive, but being patient, caring, and the love for children I believe that keeping a child involved with crafts, games, educational activities, etc. then they can develop higher intellect and hand on activities. I've also volunteered with non-charitable events for autistic children/teens/and adults.
