About Katie

If you're looking for someone who's empathetic, patient, and kind with a deeper knowledge of mental health and human development, I'm your gal! I graduated with my masters in social work in 2024. Until recently, I was a therapist at a psych hospital, mainly on the inpatient teen/child units. I ran groups, conducted individual sessions, maintained communication with families, and helped families create a post-discharge safety plan. During undergrad, I cared for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I assisted with cooking/feeding, cleaning, bathing/hygiene, toileting, repositioning, entertainment, transportation, and more. Most of my clients were nonverbal, used wheelchairs, and/or had trachs. In high school, I tutored kids from a low-income elementary school, and I've babysat for my cousin's kids from time to time. I also currently pet sit. I'd be honored to help out with your loved one!
