About Kathleen

I am a CT-certified SPED teacher experienced w/diverse students in Farmington Public Schools (FHS), Three Rivers Middle College, East Hartford and New London as well as Mitchell College, Post U and the USCGA I am a degreed educational psych and case manager/advocate for families. I tutor executive functions, Wilson Reading System, Orton-Gillingham for students with autism, dyslexia, ADHD/ADD, anxiety, etc. I like tutoring because as mom of 3 neurodiverse children, I appreciate a student-centered approach to learning. I relate to adults for whom school was very different than today. Building confidence, self-awareness, and self-advocacy make for success as an adult, regardless of "school". I like to write, read, travel, and spend time outside with friends, family and my dog. I am a Public, UConn (2 degrees) and UHartford grad. I have lived in MA, NY, and PA and love Ireland. My skills include reading and writing and finding the best technology to leverage work effort.
