About Katherine

I have years of experience in the education field, working with a wide range of ages, cultures, and abilities. I love kids. For two years, I taught English in Spain to elementary, middle school, and high school students. Outside of school, I became a highly sought after private English tutor, helping multiple students improve their English skills and test scores. Wanting to expand my teaching experience, I joined the U. S. Peace Corps where I served in the Philippines for two years, working at an elementary school in a fishing port town in the Western Visayas region. After returning home to St. Louis, I started working at a well-renowned preschool that specializes in teaching children who are deaf/hard of hearing how to talk, listen, read and succeed. Now I am pursuing a masters degree in TESOL at BU. All of these teaching experiences have prepared me to be an expert in working with a wide variety of children and most importantly how to have fun! also available for child care
