Hi, I'm Kate! Since moving from Chicago to the PNW, I don't have the extensive network of young families I am used to.. so I am turning to Care. Com to connect me with the right family! I moved to SE PDX a year ago to be a rep for a pharmaceutical/non-profit. I found myself disenchanted by the direction my career took (sales! yikes!) so I'm currently on a sabbatical, of sorts, figuring out what to pursue next. As the development and flourishing of children is my JAM, I'm looking to find one or two lovely families I can devote my current time and energy to during the weekday, after school, date nights, travel, etc. Prior to my sales/marketing stint, I spent 10 years working with 12-18-year-olds in wilderness therapy, a residential home, court, and schools from the Rockies to the Blue Ridge Mountains. I have experience with EVERY stage and age since birth including *multiples* and children with ASD, ADHD, Sensory Processing, Feeding Issues, etc.

Katie was so sweet and took really good care of our son. We could tell our son really enjoyed spending time with Katie as well. She was enthusiastic, caring, gentle, and compassionate. We felt very comfortable leaving our son in Katie's care. We knew she would follow any instructions we left her and that she would provide a safe and fun environment for our little guy. We would hire Katie again anytime!
