About Katherine

Hello! I have been an academic tutor for almost a decade and have worked with learners from elementary school to college levels. Although I've tutored a range of subjects, I focus on math and the sciences. I also always implement test-taking skills and time management. With my Neuroscience degree, I've studied many methods of learning and apply that knowledge to tutoring. I realize that each student has a way that he/she learns best, and I work to adjust my tutoring methods to tailor that need. The result is an intensive yet personalized tutoring experience that's completely interactive and never feels like just sitting in on a lecture. I'm creative in the way that I approach teaching and am able relay complex and heavy subject matter in a clear and concise manner. I implement many tools of learning in order to ensure a broad grasp of concepts to ultimately develop a learner's critical thinking skills while building self-confidence along the way. My goal is to make learning enjoyable!
