About Katherine

My name is Katie, and I'm thrilled to meet you! Others describe me as an empathetic, motivated person with excellent communication skills. My #1 passion in life is connecting with people, which is why I am currently pursuing a master's in social work. In my free time, I love to be outdoors, paint, and spend time with my dogs! In the past decade, I have worked as a babysitter, gymnastics coach, afterschool teacher, classroom paraprofessional, and family support worker. I have a specific interest and a lifetime of experience working with children with disabilities. Working with kids is so fulfilling to me, because I know that every interaction is meaningful. One of my strengths is emotional deescalation, which I accomplish by acknowledging a child's emotional needs and helping them practice positive coping behaviors. I'm primarily interested in providing part-time nannying services, tutoring, or occasional babysitting, but I'd love to talk to you about your family's needs!
