About Kate

When I was growing up, 11 years old was the magic number to get your babysitter certification. I was instantly obsessed and wanted to get as many babysitting jobs as I could! Since then I have had a full career, but always filled in with nannying and babysitting. I have worked with special-needs adults, neuro divergent children and adults, gifted children, and my favorite people to care for are infants! I have done everything from joining family vacations to supporting family weddings. I was a sixth grade teacher in Chicago and I have a passion for seeing kids develop while experiencing the joy of childhood! I'd describe my personality as curious, creative and earnest. In my spare time, I like to be outside, play pickleball, travel and write. One thing you should know about me is I started a farmer's market bakery stand that grew into seven cafés with 200+ employees. I'm very intuitive with infants and I'm great at reading the room and differentiating as needed.
