In California, I was a substitute teacher in our local school district for 10 years and also very involved in all my own children's classrooms and after school activities. At my teacher friend's requests I opened my own preschool and ran that five years until my husband was transferred. At this new location, I ended up becoming a project engineer for the same company my husband worked for as a project manager. We worked side by side for the next 9 years until I retired in order to become a certified therapy dog team with my malitpoo. My dog and I have been volunteering at various AL, MC, rehabs, and hospitals since then.
