I was born in 1991 with a twin sister who was born with so many disabilities and issues, I was a caregiver from the womb. My twin sister was born with bilateral hip displasia, clubbed foot, perforated eardrums, a cleft palate, seizures, asthma, etc. She passed away in June of 2022. During her life she was an amazing person who never let any of her physical abilities hinder her in any way. She was smart, energetic, enthusiastic and had a taste for life. And behind that beautiful woman was me and my mom, helping care for her and all her needs. As she grew older, she needed a tracheostomy and depended on a ventilator. Eventually she was completely bed bound, only leaving the house for medical appointments. I learned everything I could to meet all of her needs and then some and am a quick study.
