About Karina

Hi there! I have approximately 2 years of experience in babysitting/nanny care. Although I haven't been actively babysitting for very long, I am very familiar with various types of childcare. I am originally from Eagle Pass, Texas and I have been living in Laredo for about 5 years so I am very familiar with the city. Prior to moving to Laredo, I babysat two toddlers, one school-age child and a teen long-term for 2 separate families from my neighborhood. A year after moving to Laredo, I began working IT at TAMIU while simultaneously studying psychology. During my second year of college, I began babysitting a classmate of mine's infant on my days off of work and school while she attended college. I worked with toddlers in the HEB Read 3 Literacy program for two terms which helped me realize that I wanted to work professionally with children. I have since declared my concentration in Child Psychology and have taken both early childhood development and lifespan psychology courses.
