I'd describe my personality as Warm, Calm and a good sense of humor. I like caring for seniors because I cared for both of my parents in their elderly years. I also enjoy engaging them in conversation and learning from them. They have a lot to teach us in their many years of experience. I'm looking for a job in which I can be of use in the day to day life of a senior. Mostly through companionship but also helping in daily needs. I started caring for seniors when my parents were needing more help in their 70's-80's. My dad lived until age 96. My mom lived 3 days after her 99th birthday and then passed away. My skills include companion care, advocating for them in medical settings ( I worked as a Unit Coordinator in the Emergency Department at Providence Hospital in Seattle, WA. for 14 years ). And listening to what they have to say. I am available in the summer from June 2 through August 2.
