I am an experienced special education teacher with 24 years experience in Wake County Public Schools and 8 years experience in South Carolina. My teaching experience has been with children with significant intellectual/physical disabilities. I have many years of experience with children with Down's Syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, and other disabilities. I retired 2 years ago and have been working part-time with the same family since then. The children are an 8-year-old boy with special physical needs and his 10-year-old sister. I also have worked with 2 1/2-year-old twin girls for 6 months. I am willing do light housekeeping, and prepare small meals/snacks and transport children. I am available for occasional date nights as well. I can provide a background check upon request and a personal reference from the family I work with.
