I have a positive attitude and am upbeat and friendly. I'm the mother of two and Nana to three grandchildren. I worked in corporate America for 35 plus years. During that time, my father was diagnosed with cancer and was in Hospice care. Several years after losing my dad, my mother developed dementia and I became her caretaker. It was truly an honor to take care of my mom. Dementia is a cruel disease. I prepared meals for her and fed her when she could no longer feed herself. She became incontinent. I would make sure she was cleaned and changed. I made sure she took her medication. I cleaned her home and did her laundry. I gave her baths. I know how much the care my father received meant to our family and I would like to provide the same compassion to another family who needs help.
