Hi, I am looking to help families who need assistance caring for their elderly loved ones. I have over 2 years experience in caring for my mother who had Parkinson's Disease and onset dementia. My mother lived with me and depended on me for everything. She was a fall risk and was unable to get around without someone being right there to keep her safe and help her in her daily routine. My experience comes from on-the-job training 24 hours a day caring for my own mother. I learned how alone and helpless an aging loved one can feel and the guilt of having to ask family for help. I also learned as a caregiver, how difficult it was to find outside help when I just needed a break. I have an additional 2 years experience working for several Care clients. I can help with Light Housekeeping, Meal Preparation, Laundry, Companionship, Respite Care, Transportation Services, going to medical appointments, errands, recreational activities, Safeguard Visits, Nursing Home Visits/Checks.
