I have a total of 10 years experience working in the field of mental health and special needs. During this four years, I have worked in a clinical mental health setting, working with adults with severe mental illnesses (2012 to 2014). I also have five years of experience working with autism spectrum disorders at an after school, summer, and respite program for children and teens as a lead teacher and program organizer (2011 to 2015). I have 1. 5 years of experience as a live-in caregiver for a developmentally delayed adult, with a possible diagnosis of Prader Willi syndrome as well as autism, Type 2 Diabetes, and obesity (2013 to 2015). During this time, I also spent 6 months working as a caregiver for an adult with cerebral palsy- care included dressing, hygiene assistance (not including bathing, or bowel assistance), diaper changing and bladder assistance, repositioning in the bed and transitioning into wheelchair. I currently work as a social worker for Giant Steps in Naperville.
