The special needs community is a deep passion of mine, having moved across the country to pursue work and education in it. For the past year, I have served as a fellow at a nonprofit that provides respite to families of children with disabilities providing over 2, 000 hours of direct care to a wide of clients with varying diagnoses and needs. Having the unique opportunity to care for individuals physically, emotionally, medically, and otherwise is something I am well versed in and do not take lightly! Everyone deserves laughter, love, fun, and joy and I truly see care-taking as my way to be just one small part of that.
