I absolutely cherish each time a client tells me about how much my services have helped them. I'm looking for a job that I am able to use many of my skills to help the home. I started housekeeping about 5 years ago and have loved doing it! In my spare time I love to spend time with my daughter, fishing, train my dog, ride horses, cook or read books. I hired Julie through Care.Com for Housekeeping and cooking services. I want to start by saying the cleaning that she did was generally VERY GOOD. It was thorough and well done. However that's really where the good things stop. Julie was originally hired to come clean & cook Mondays weekly. Initially she did not allocate enough time to clean so she then showed back up the following day to finish the clean. I allocated time on Monday afternoons for her to clean so having to move my schedule around for Tuesday was frustrating. This happened for the first 2 weeks with her showing up on Monday then Wednesday the following week to finish the clean. Additionally the 2nd week I had specific meals that were to be cooked as a part of meal prep. She did not allocate enough time to get the ingredients (which she did specifically fully buy) and cook. The third week I was unable to be home so she left herself in after I allowed her to and she cleaned, however things that she was paid to do ex: laundry, throwing the trash away, mopping, were not done. She then insisted that I pay her for those things and I did. That was the last communication I would have with her. From then on she ghosted me completely. Did not respond to text messages or calls and stop showing up for the clean on Mondays. As a business owner myself you never ghost a client. If you don't want to work with someone you just say I am not the best fit and move on. Overall, I am giving Julie a 2/5 stars. Her cleaning was good when monitored however time allocation and professionalism left ALOT to be desired.
