About Julia

I started tutoring three years ago. I'm a high school English teacher, and I saw a need in my community to reach students for whom the traditional classroom environment -- for one reason or another -- wasn't working. I believe all students deserve equal access to quality education. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, patient, and curious. These three traits combine to make me a tenacious problem-solver and a flexible, outside-of-the-box thinker. Working together as a team, I believe there's no obstacle you and I can't teach your child to overcome! My areas of expertise/interest include English language and literature, test preparation, and K-12 ELA.
