I have been studying special education for the past 2 years however working with individuals who have disabilities has been my passion for many more. I started working with individuals with special needs in high school. I worked at Easterseals Iowa as a residential counselor in the summer of 2017 and worked with campers of many different disabilities ages 7 to 82. I worked with campers and provided for their behavioral and personal care needs. This summer I worked at Southampton Fresh Air Home as a residential counselor for kids with physical disabilities and met the needs of the children and cared for all personal care needs from feeding, showering, and more.
