I have volunteered as a hospice companion which means I spent time with patients on hospice at a local nursing home. We would play games, go on walks, I would read to them, etc. I have also worked in the hospital setting; I am currently a dietetic intern at the Memphis VA where I perform patient care. I will be done at the VA in June, and I am looking for a job that allows me to continue working with the elderly population.
