I hired her, but then a little over a week before her start date, she backed out. I realize things happen, but it felt like my job offer was just used as leverage to get more hours/$ from her other part-time family. This process is so time-consuming and frustrating already - having to start over again after turning everyone else down a few weeks prior made it so much worse. Not even having 2 weeks notice made it that much harder.
