Joan worked for my parents for 2.5 years. She was BY FAR the best of numerous caregivers we hired since my stepmother came out of rehabilitation after having had 2 strokes, and also has very advanced Parkinson's disease. Joan did more than any other caregiver we'd had, and so much more than she was even hired to do. In addition to seeing to my severely handicapped & extremely difficult stepmother's constant and often ill-tempered demands, and tending to her very complicated medication schedule, cleaning her, bathing her, dressing her, taking her for walks, taking her on errands, even giving up her own family time to spend month with them at their summer house, Joan also cooked, cleaned house, cared for their large dog, and frequently worked days AND nights, when it was necessary. Joan is smart, efficient, reliable, thoughtful, strong, energetic, smart, kind, and fun to have around. I consider her to be family, and am so grateful she was able to care for dad during his last years.
