I cared for my brother for a year while he had terminal cancer. He suggested I offer part-time work in this area as he said I was so good at helping him. I cooked wonderful meals and provided companionship, housework, assisted with outings and transportation, medication administration, and hospice support. I'm also a mother and grandmother and taught art classes for special needs populations. I retired from a 40+ year career in human services administration and grant writing/administration. I also managed a senior center for 6 years and led international trips and in-center and local activities. For the past year I provided transportation and companion support for a senior with visual impairments.
