I am not your every day nanny. :) I have been taking care of kids, animals, the disabled, and the elderly, for over 10 years. I have been a Child Care Provider since I was 12 . I am very good at getting kids to cooperate and at helping them understand why something is wrong/right. I use creative ways to involve children in chores, or the not so fun things. I love to entertain children and have fun, but also know when things need to get done and responsibilities need to be carried out. I was involved in an On Campus Preschool, where I received instruction for an hour and a half every day on how to properly teach children and interact with them and learn about how they develop, as well as teaching children in the preschool, having lessons every day that I planned with my other student teachers, and interacting with the preschoolers. It was a phenomenal experience and I am going to continue in Early Childhood Education. I have also been a Nanny for multiple families, and my goal is to always have a close relationship, become a part of the family so that the children know I am not only another authority figure, but someone they can trust and love. I love children, they mean the world to me, and I love caring for them, and helping them learn and grow. I have a deep passion and skill for care-giving. I have recently returned home from an 18 month mission in Washington, D. C. for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where I learned many useful skills that have enhanced my work as a caretaker, and many other aspects of my life. A few of my best skills include: organization, creativity in a learning environment, safe and defensive driving, scheduling, punctuality, enthusiasm, energy, communication, and love. My top priority in any care-giving relationship is to make sure they are safe, and that they feel loved, valued, and important. I also have a special skill of knowing ASL (American Sign Language) fluently, and being very well rounded, in sports, music, theatre, and cultures. I am very versatile and will always seek to match your needs. I have taken courses in child development, and I have experience with all age groups, most common disabilities, and I love pets! I am hoping to find a fun loving family that needs a hard working but fun and loving nanny. :)
I am not certified with an agency for Special Needs Care, but I have over 10 years of experience working with Special Needs Children and I have studied American Sign Language for 8 Years. I have taken Child Development Courses, and plan to become a midwife in the near future. I will be getting re-certified in the state of Utah in the next two months, and will also be receiving Infant CPR training as well.
