Hello, I am taking classes at UC this January for Communication Sciences and Disorders. My goal is to be a speech language pathologist. This passed semester I qualified for the Dean s list with a 4. 0. I would be willing to take on hours over the summer and during the school year. I previously have a degree from Ohio University Southern in Equine Assistant Therapy. With this degree, I instructed children with disabilities, teaching them how to ride horses and working on their cognitive, sensory, and behavior skills. I then moved to Indiana where I worked part time as a Direct Support Professional. At this job I worked with two adults who have autism. These adults still lived with their parents and it was my job to get them involved in the community and help them build skills for independent living. They were very active and so am I, we went to the park, swimming, skating, bowling, horse farms, petting zoos, museums, dances, Indianapolis zoo, farms for berry and apple picking, community events, and volunteering at places. This past semester in school I also took a SPED teaching class.
