Hi! Along with my love for kids my older brother is autistic. I am familiar with behavior associated with autism as I also was Inclusion Staff at Maryland Parks and Recreation summer camps. I was mainly responsible for making sure the child I was assigned was included in ALL activities hosted by the day camp because as you know it can be difficult for the general camp counselors to pay attention to children who have more difficulty jumping in. I also assisted with developing and leading activities for all children to participate in thus making the experience of day camp fun for all!
