I have experience supporting adults and children with intellectual disabilities for over 5 years, through direct caregiving (2+ years), managing a residential group home (1 year and current position), working at a special needs summer camp (3 summers), volunteering in the special ed classroom as a paraprofessional (2 years) and providing ABA services as a behavioral therapist (1. 5 years). I am comfortable with feeding, changing, showering, and other hygiene needs. As a caregiver, I love to bring my clients out in the community; whether that be walks around the park, shopping malls, grocery stores, movie theaters, etc. Additionally, I have been a Research Assistant at Michigan State University's Autism Lab for 5 years and recently graduated with a bachelors in Psychology. In the future I plan to attend graduate school to continue my work supporting those with special needs. With a certification in first aid and CPR, I'm energetic, bubbly, and reliable :)
