About Jean

I am a former Special Education teacher, Pampered Chef consultant and Pharmaceutical Sales rep. From my past experience, I'm a caring individual who loves to cook & converse with others! I come from an Italian family & caring for our elders was important. When my mother progressed with her Alzheimer's, I stayed in her ALF home with her every other weekend for two years. From personal experience, I know senior care is about playing cards, doing puzzles, singing old songs and just talking & listening to their stories from years gone by. I still keep in touch with my mothers best friends who are in their 80's. Recently, I was a companion for my friend's 84 yr. old mother who fractured her pelvis. I grocery shopped & made her meals, did her laundry, and assisted her with her hygiene. We played games, and I even taught her & her friends a new card game. My goal is to be a companion for a senior who is ambulatory.
