Hello! I love children! Here's a brief history of my experience: I babysat extensively during my teen years and taught elementary school for 17 years. I volunteered in my church nursery and toddler room and taught Sunday school for decades. I raised two wonderful daughters who are college graduates. I was delighted to be a sweet little girl's nanny for 5 years starting when she was 5 months old. Since then, I have cared for several babies and toddlers and preschoolers. I am very patient, kind, and loving with a great sense of humor (I love getting silly with kids)! Engaging children in fun and meaningful activities like reading, arts and crafts, games, drama, dress-up, music, and outdoor play is very important to me. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Janet is an amazing woman and caretaker. We interviewed her last December after moving across the country and hired her on the spot. We started at 2 days a week, then quickly moved to 3 days a week and now have her FULL Time. She has a strong bonded relationship with our daughter. When Janey arrives our daughter jumps for joy at the sight of her and screams her name, running up to her asking for a hug and a kiss. Janet takes her time with Leya, chatting with her about books, toys, colors, music, sounds and sights. She has only been patient and caring for her. Janet is responsive when asked to do something or change something based on what we would like to happen. On a personally level Janet is open minded, friendly, positive and happy daily! We love Janet. She is only our "Baby Tamer" but a true family friend.
