About Hillary

I absolutely love working with children. I come from a large family, so have always been surrounded by children of various ages, and I began babysitting very young. I have worked as a nanny for two different families for three years. The children were aged 9 months, 3 years, 4 years, 6 years and 9 years. I provided basic care, transportation, and activities/engagement with all of the children. I also worked for the Portland Public School for two years as an instructional assistant and reading teacher, with students in grades K-5. I worked at a residential treatment facility for mentally/physically/behaviorally challenged children ages 5-18 for two years as a child and adolescent treatment specialist. Most recently (pre pandemic) I worked at a certified in home childcare specializing in infant and toddler care for 12. 5 years. I truly believe that through gentle guidance and nurturing, within a healthy and motivating environment, all children can grow and thrive.
