I am the second oldest of 5 children. When I work with kids I'm big on encouraging independence and also good at gauging their skills and development levels to make it age appropriate. I will administer medication as long as it's written out clearly. I am energetic, responsible, organized and reliable. My mom is partially deaf so I know basic sign language and can learn more, I also have a 15-year-old brother with special needs. He was a shaken baby so he has traumatic brain injury, cortical visual impairment, sensory disorder, had seizures as an infant, trouble regulating his body temperature, anxiety and has sleeping medicines. My family has done foster care from when I was 14 years old until about 22 years old. During that time we would be placed with children with medical needs or special needs including feeding tubes, casts, cerebral palsy, shaken baby syndrome, and brain injury. In middle school and high school I would volunteer in the autistic classes.
