I have worked with pre-k children, including Autistic and developmentally delayed children, as a teacher assistant, at a local elementary school. Daily duties included but were not limited to: working on improving skills both academically and socially to prepare students for kindergarten, caring for all personal needs of students whether it be assisting with feeding, changing etc. I have also worked briefly with an Autistic teen as an assistant at a local high school. I have also had some experience helping care for my elderly grandmother while she was alive. I assisted with basic needs such as helping her up and down stairs, changing, doctor appointments, some shopping, light cooking, company etc.
