Hi, my name is Hannah and I am currently a Ph. D. graduate student at the University of South Florida studying Cognitive and Neuroscience Psychology. For over three years, I worked as a direct support professional at Advance in Brookings, SD. The job involved providing care for adults with disabilities with all day-to-day activities in the individuals' lives. This included personal cares, financial assistance, health and wellness, cooking, cleaning, medical assistance, goal fulfillment, and social support. While working on my Master's in Duluth, MN, I "worked" as a companion to a gentlemen with disabilities, mostly just hanging out, doing crafts, and going on "adventures" (e. g., coffee runs, long drives, walks, etc.). Nothing brings me as much joy as working with this population does! I have many nieces and nephews as well and have no problem working with children! I love to do crafts, play games, watch movies, go outside, etc.!
