About Grace

Hi! I am a fully vaccinated, first grade teacher at Thornton Elementary seeking tutoring jobs. I have seen firsthand the effects of the pandemic on students, and believe in a pragmatic and positive approach to giving your student the basic skills to succeed in math and reading. From working with struggling students, I have in-depth knowledge and experience in assessing a students' needs and delivering targeted instruction to help them grow. As a licensed teacher, I know the grade level expectations and have many resources at my disposal that are similar to what your child uses in school. I believe in structure, routine, patience, humor, developmentally appropriate methods and using your child's interests to keep them motivated.
