About Gladys

In the Spring of 2022, it became evident that our Mother would require round the clock care/companionship in order for her to remain in the home where she had lived and raised her family since 1965. We had been advised to use an Agency; we had, in fact tried 2 of them, and had been dissatisfied with the quality of care. Having heard of Care.com, we decided to give it a try. Upon reading Gladys's description of herself and noting her experience, we thought she could be a good fit for our Mom. I checked her references and she received glowing reviews from everyone, so we decided to meet her. Gladys was personable, smart, warm, caring and had years of experience. So we hired her on the spot, which was the absolute best decision that we could have made. Gladys took great care of our Mother and helped her with all of her personal needs, made sure that she took her pills (and there were many of them), that her meals were nutritious and that she stayed hydrated. Gladys always communicated with us, so we always had a good idea exactly what the situation was at home. We never worried when Gladys was there with our Mom; we had complete trust in her. When the time came when Mom could not stay at home any longer and had to be moved to a long term care facility, Gladys still was there with Mom daily, to make sure that her needs were being met, especially since Covid, when facilities were severely understaffed. Mom had the very best quality of care with Gladys, and we will be forever grateful for the way that she took care of our Mom. We have since lost our Mom but feel that in having had Gladys caring for her, we could not have taken better care of our Mother. To this day, we consider Gladys to be a part of our family; she was always there for us. We give her the highest praise when it comes to her ability to care for her clients, and the compassion she shows them; we were so lucky to have found her.
