I am lucky enough to have been in the health care field for about four years now. Over those four years I have worked in group homes as a direct support specialist, assisting people of all ages with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses in their homes, and private homes of the elderly in need of assistance. I've also worked in a day program working with lower functioning cerebral palsy clients providing all types of care to meet clients needs.
