About Felicia

I have an AA in ECE, and am working towards a BA in ECE. I have spent the past 3-4 years teaching the children I work with, based on WA standards. As a result, the youngest (who is currently 5. 5yrs old) has been approved to advance into 1st grade gifted classes. My aim is to combine the old school idea of learning through repetition with the modern day idea of learning through activities. I figure out how a child learns, what they know already, and create curriculum based on interests to help the information sink in. Repetition is a key technique for me because it has shown time and time again that it works. I also have experience with tutoring a child who had reading comprehension problems, and have helped them to find tools to help them, which have helped them tremendously. teach them in a way that they will understand.
