About Emily

Hi! I was born and raised here. After I graduated, I attended CMU before moving to Tennessee. There, I taught for a few years until I felt my heart pulling me back to Michigan. My parents and I recently left TN and moved back to Canadian Lakes. I began working with kids in 2010. Since then, I have babysat for many families. I have experience teaching K-3. I'm also a proud aunt to kids 5mo-8 yrs, and I have been very involved in their care. I like working with kids because I enjoy getting to care for them, do activities with them, and being a loving influence in their lives. In my spare time, I like to read, travel, craft, listen to music, see Broadway shows, do puzzles, play games, take care of my plants, and go outside. I love to include children in those activities as well. Overall I would describe my personality as empathetic, gentle, creative, fun, and joyful. My top skills include communication, problem-solving, compassion, patience, creativity, and multi-tasking.
